Move sketch into component, and body(s) follow

Just wanted to mention I found it cool that can now move a sketch into a component (if forgot to activate it), and the body(s) created from the sketch will also move into that component automatically, and coincidentally, no copy-paste body events will be in timeline.  This is all great for when a little forgetful 😉

Hi Jesse,

Nice observation. Yes, the improvement is made in June update to better support the sketch restructure workflow like you mentioned. The logic is to restructure the order of the timeline features with minimal changes if possible.

If you see any problems, please feel free to let us know.

Yes, the body may not always move along with the sketch in some cases. We use the minimal changes as long as the new order of the timeline features makes sense to rebuild the design.

Just an observation for anyone interested, it looks like under certain circumstances if sketch has projected geometry in it, when moving sketch to new component, the defined sketch plane can change, which is easily fixed by right clicking the sketch and choosing Redefine to define it to original face/plane it was on.

I also just found the advanced behavior that when one sketch is moved into another component, dependent bodies, as well as construction planes and other sketches (defined to dependent body) move to new component as well.  Very cool!
