Move/copy Sketches

Hello, I have these (acrylic) panels, they are multiple rectangle sketches with a small box and screw holes on it, I need to make copies/paste and set all copies in a big acrylic sheet to cut with a laser cut machine.

I can move dragging in any direction simple selecting one of its sides and move it, this shows me they have full dimensions, when I move this copies to a big acrylic sheet sketch I have to apply some measures between all of them and the board of the big sheet, so I can save material, so here is when I am missing something, many of the sketches deform when I apply the distance from another, some even show angles instead of distance when I select the measure tool, sometimes I apply measure to one panel and the other panel that has dimensions already deforms as well.

I tried to make a 90 degrees dimension in all corners to make sure they are "locked" but still they deform as you can see in the picture below. They are all in the same plane.

Any expert to explain to me what I am doing wrong?

Hi,

Your sketches must be defined in dimensions and connections of the elements if they are to be copied.

For perpendicularity there is the perpendicular constraint.

Please share the file.

File > export > save as f3d on local drive  > attach it to the next post.

More constraints less dimensions.

Wrong? - Using sketches that are not fully defined, for a modelling task.

Make one of each plate with Extrude.

place and copy / pattern the plates.

New sketch - Project each plate face to the sketch. All purple articles.

Export as DXF.

Might help.

1- Understood use of constraints.
2- I need only the sketches, I don't need bodies (probably I did not understand your suggestion).
3- Yes, you got, I will export as DXF for the laser.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Using your actual file to demonstrate correct technique might be best way to explain.
