moulded frame creation like a picture frame

Hi All

I am have real trouble trying to create a bolection moulding for a door I am designing. The problem I am having is that I need to make 3 different sized frames which are mitre jointed at 45 degree on the corners. I would like to make them and insert them into component which is the door.

I would love a way I could make it parametric so I can change the size easily.

This is the bread and butter of parametric Design.

If you are Capturing Design History (meaning there is a timeline at the bottom of the Fusion application window) then your design is already parametric.  If your design has sketches with dimensions and extrusions, etc. then it has parameters that can be modified easily, just go to the "Modify" menu in the toolbar and choose "Change Parameters", then click in the "Expressions" column for the parameter you want to change.   You can also change the names of the parameters to be more descriptive so you know which ones you want to change.

Now, you said you want 3 different sizes of the frame so you can insert them into a door assembly.  This sounds like you want something like Configurations or iParts which other CAD systems like Inventor have.  Fusion doesn't have either of these yet.  So you would actually have to create one size frame, then make two copies of it (2 new files), then modify the appropriate parameters in the copies to get the sizes you want.
