Man this gets old.  In the instant I actually  I need a constraint I can't have it because 'failed to compute'.  If there was anything even approaching clarity when this app is unhappy it'd be a **** site easier to learn, maybe even rely on.  But no

If you export your files and attach you'll get more help and answers a lot quicker.

Your timeline shows errors.  What happens when you fix them?

Dude, listen to the Screencast with the sound on- he's clearly asking for help understanding the nature of the problems he's already identified nominally.    'Why don't you fix the problems you are asking for help fixing' is the opposite of helpful.

On the axial error, a micro-fraction may be extending beyond the axis.   I notice when you selected either vertices, neither were constrained to the axis.   An easy way to have those ends hit the axis without dragging the tips around hoping for a snap is to trim the lines back a bit from the line (draw a tool line across, trim your lines to that line tool, then delete the tool), then Extend the lines to hit the Construction line.   If you can't Constrain or interact with the Construction Line, make it a regular line for the purposes of this operation.   If you still can't hit it, you may inadvertently be sketching in 3 dimensions- go to your preferences and turn off 3D sketching!

No, if you want more people to help then you export the file and attach. I don't really care one way or the other but if you came here and ever helped anyone you soon get fed up having to request a download from those links. Getting help is like fishing, without the file you're just dangling a hook in the water.

There was a micro bit past the axis. The line to the other side of the axis could not be made collinear - some vague fail notice given. The line extending past the axis was not constrained with a dimension but the end point could not be moved back. When attempting to trim that same line with the axis the entire line would be deleted - no micro trimming possible. Likewise a perpendicular constraint would not solve the issue either even though the first point the line existing on the other side of the axis began at the zero point.

The proffered file only includes the Project Source Is Lost error- an unambiguous error with a cause; what are you asking about this file?

I hear that.   What I did not hear is the results of any of the methods I proffered.     Did you check if 3D sketching was enabled, or attempt to locate the extent as described?

I manged to trim the line at other points without issue; this, combined with your inability to constrain to the axis, indicates the axis line is not in the active Sketch- that is, the entire line is trimmed because no other Sketch Element is found to cross the line.    I don't have more time to dedicate at this juncture.
