I build  large parts bigger than the CNC machine bed and the material . I am drawing the parts as one then need to split it into machine able parts when I split and move  the part then try to do a Cam it sees the part as one large part how do you select just the part you want to machine .I often need to rotate the parts for best machine/material use .

Can you share your model and/or a screencast here?  It's hard to say what is going on without more information.  How are you splitting the components?  Are you using Split Body?  You may want to use Create Component From Body if you need them to be separate components.

I tried the create new body with each half so I could go into cam -new set
up as soon as I do that it picks both pieces together for the stock

Edit the setup, under Model where it should say 2 bodie click the X to unselect both then select the one you want.
