Most of the modeled threads are closed in the end of the helix. You cant really use them if you print them out.

But isn't the fillet / chamfer the problem?

No

i have never seen a screw or a thread without a proper chamfer.

you cant machine straight cut threads, and if it would not be practical.

and it is really hard to ad a chamfer after you made the thread

Sry for my bad english. I didn't mean in the real world but in the way to modle it in F360. I just had a video in mind where they have shown that the order of the features are important. I can not find the video anymore, but this should show what I mean:

Erstens ist dein Englisch ja nicht schlecht und zweitens kannst du dich mit @Anonymous auch in Deutsch unterhalten 😉

@Anonymous this is a limitation of the chamfer tool in conjunction with modeled threads. You’ll simply have to chamfer after applying the thread. It not hard. It’s just a PITA.

@TrippyLighting: That's very kind of you and thank you for pointing out that speaking German is always an option ;-). But I do not want to be rough to other members of the forum who do not speak German and I do not want to downgrade the value of an discussion for others.

Your description of the implementation was what I wanted to say.
