Model surface doesn't look straight - is there something wrong?

Hello Autodesk forum!

Before I start I must note that I'm a novice at 3D modeling. This is the second model I've created.

This time I've modeled a crest that's basically a fancy bevel using sketched lines, making lofts between them and cutting out the parts I don't need or want by extruding sketches and cutting through the body. I've also attempted to use the 'split body' and 'split face' tool to get more precise cuts, but these kept giving me the error message that the selected parts didn't intersect while they clearly did. In the future I'd like to find a better, more accurate way to cut chunks off of faces and/or bodies.

Anyway I digress. I've noticed that the surface of the 'pointy bits' on my model reflects the light very strangely. It's almost as if the face isn't straight. This should be impossible as far as I know; I created the face out of a loft between two straight lines. I've added two screenshots and the f3d file in the attachment so you can see what I mean.

Seeing as I'm planning to 3D print this I'd like to ask the Autodesk forum: is there something wrong with my model and if so, what did I do wrong & what can I do to fix it?

I believe that you are looking at reflections but since you did not attach your model, I cannot be sure.  Use the viewing commands to set a view directly across the surface and see for yourself.

Oh my bad! Here's the model haha 🙂

Yeah, your surface is jacked.  It's like that because you are using loft.  if you loft to a point there will always be pinching, because lofts prefer 4 sided shapes.

for this particular geometry, patch is a better tool.

The two objects in your design when stitched in the Surface workspace should actually result in two solid bodies.

However, they don't because the gaps between these individual surfaces are too large.

That means that your modeling technique requires more precision.

This design starts from imported geometry and that geometry is so simple enough so it is better created in a fresh, properly constrained and dimensioned Fusion 360 native sketch.

Given the experimental nature of your design - in other words its quite a mess - my suggestion would be to go through the tutorials in the Learn & Support section so you have a better understanding of all the modeling tools.

For example you use T-Splines and to create one or more of the triangular faces. No surprise that this does not stitch!

There is no need for T-Splines in this simple design and it should not take more than 3-4 sketches to design this resulting in about 1/8 of the timeline.

Edit:

This is all it takes to create this object ( model is attached):
