Mirror & Pattern Issue

Hello,

When trying to either mirror or pattern the holes, the holes only appear on the bottom.

The completed top is made of two separate layers/bodies.

Using the pattern or mirror command, the hole will cut thru both layers in the horizontal direction, but only cut thru the bottom layer in the vertical direction. I have tried sketching the holes using the circle command then extrude or points then use the hole command, same results. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Bill

I can't explain why, but I can see that you are using one extrude to make multiple bodies in the same component.

It will be something to do with that.

Making the first batten with the patterned holes, then copy that batten is one way around it.

Might help....

I gave that a try and it didn't solve the problem. The holes will not cut thru the bottom layer(Base Component).

Each separate filler piece will be between the T-Tracks, that's why there are 13 separate Bodies in the Filler Component.

I think the issue is, each filler piece is it's own body and Fusion treats each body separately, so mirror and pattern will only work on that body.

I think the reason that the mirror & pattern work on the Base component, is because it's a single body (no cuts).

That's a fair assessment,

You have cut holes in the first batten of each file, copy the batten should take the holes with it.
