Mesure dimension in drawing without reference point

I just tried to create a drawing where I wanted to show the measurement (in the red box) you see in the screenshot.

 My problem is, that in the drawing I'm missing the vertical line (B witch has a given length of 350mm) and also the point (A). In drawing mode the dimension tool does not let my snap to an arbitrary point on the object/model.

I fought then that I could create a sketch in my model providing my the missing reference points. But I was not able to display the sketch in the drawing. The sketch is visible in the drawing browser but I still do not see it in the base view.

I think your problem is sketch lines that are construction lines don't show in the drawing workspace.
