Mesh workspace does not show up Mesh Preview is not on.

Go to preferences and turn on the preview

Mesh workspace does not show up

The current document is a parametric document and you need to create/edit a Mesh Feature.

  1. Create mesh feature in the timeline

2. Edit mesh feature in timeline

Mesh cannot be converted to Tspline A quad mesh that is uploaded to the cloud is always triangulated. A mesh that is inserted locally into a document is also always triangulated by default.

Go to Preferences->Mesh and uncheck "Triangulate mesh polygons"

Mesh facet selection does not work/stopped working Facet selection only works in tri-meshes. Go to Preferences->Mesh and check "Triangulate mesh polygons"
Mesh is not the right size. A mesh uploaded to the cloud is assumed to be in CM. A mesh that is inserted into a document will use the current document unit if it is not changed via the insert dialog.
  1. Use the local "Insert Mesh" function that provides a dialog in which you can specify units.

  2. OR Scale the mesh using the scale command
Mesh does not show material. Meshes use "Color By Facegroup" as default. This is an application rendering setting that will apply to all meshes in all documents.

Uncheck the "Face Groups" Checkbox. it will show materials:

Mesh is losing sharp edges or looks smoothed out. Meshes are rendered as "Smooth shaded" by default, because this is more performant. This makes prismatic meshes look incorrect.
  1. Right-click the mesh body node and pick "Flat Shaded"

  2. Change the shading default in Preferences->Mesh if you predominantly use prismatic meshes.
