Measure tool - would be nice to see thread info when selecting a threaded object

Hi all,

my use case is to design hydraulic systems - I first design components such as pumps, valves connectors, condensers as separate files, then I create assemblies just linking and joining components and subassemblies into a main design. In doing so I spend much time checking compatibility between threaded parts and selecting needed adapters and connectors.

Being able to select a thread with Measure tool and immediately see it is a G1/2 o G3/8 would really speed up work. In fact by selecting a thread with Measure tool I currently can see only a diameter in mm (not sure if internal or external or nominal) which doesn't really help, so i need to open the component design, then find and edit the threading feature just to read the selected thread type and size.

Thank you for your attention

It is an easy task to select and highlight any threads, right click and select Edit Feature to bring up the full creation dialog giving you all the information you need.  Not what you asked for but this method is available NOW!

You are right as long as the thread has been created in the current component, it's not as easy when the thread belongs to a linked component or even worse to a component deeply nested inside linked subassemblies - which is my use case. In this scenario you need to open subcomponents until you reach the one the thread has been created in.
