Making Stencils

I'm using a CNC router to make signs and normally I do my work in Autodesk Fusion 360 but for stencils I can't figure a way to make it work. I've tried to use the "Stencil STD" font that would make me able to not av "loose" items inside of letters like "A" and "O" but I can't extrude the font down in my work piece like I would with Arial font. Is there something I'm missing here or a simpler solution to this?

Honestly with the text tools in Fusion right now your easiest best bet is to create an SVG file in something like inkscape and import that into fusion. There are a bunch of threads here on the forums dealing with stuff just like this I will try to find them and give you some links.

I have a couple of stencil font that seem to work OK, they are Aero Matics Stencil and Gunplay not sure where I got them but they seem to be available for free download. Another option is have you tried using tabs in the 2d contour ops.
