Make a hole in a ring...help!

I have a 2D ring.  6" outside diameter, 5" inside diameter.  I want to place a hole, 3/16" is diameter in this ring.

I've spent 2 hours trying.  It never works.

I have tried creating a circle. Then I try a press pull on the ring..the hole remains filled.  Nothing I seem to be able to do makes the ring have this hole.  Can someone please try and explain this to me?  Thanks

Hi,

Oh, one more thing...the file you gave me exports as DXF only one sketch at a time...one of the initial problems I had as well.

If you export sketch4 it should have all the info you wanted. One way to get what you want in a sketch is to use project, start a new empty sketch and pick the edges and\or surfaces you want in the DXF. By the way why are you exporting to another CAM system you can do it all in Fusion then you don't need to mess around with exports. Another advantage of doing it all in Fusion is it all parametric so any changes in the model update the CAM. Here's an example of a press tool I designed, it all driven by parameters so changing a size updates the whole tool and all the CAM operation in a few seconds!

Unfortunately Fusion doesn't work well with a lot of 2d information at the moment, I think being parametric means it is scanning all the info in a sketch and if there's too much it bogs down, it handles a lot of 3d information on screen quit well though.
