Lost data

I have been saving the attached project using both ctrl+S and via the file menu, but noticed that the version did not update past v11.  I'm new to Fusion, so it was not obvious that this was a problem.  I closed Fusion and restarted the computer, and now find the version that opens is seriously outdated.

F3D and diagnostics files are attached.  Do I have any options to recover the lost work?

Hi @Adam_Kreft,

Ouch, it's always scary losing work.

Have you tried going into "offline" mode and seeing if the new file can be found there? This works sometimes for me, when files go missing. If it is, you can keep the file open while going back online and try saving it again with a new name or in a new spot.

Also, perhaps take a look at "recent data", and see if it's there. Maybe the file got misplaced?

I had this happen a few days ago just after the last update. I found going offline, opening the latest version, doing a save then go back on line got things synced up again, I did end up with an extra version though.

Hi Robert,

Thank you for providing the log files, I was able to dig through them and observe the series of steps involved with v11 of this design.

What I saw was that soon after creation of v11 (from 10:40am -> 2:00pm) your system started losing network connectivity, so Fusion was switching in and out of offline mode. While in offline mode, repeated saves will not increase the version number, so even though you saved multiple times, the version number never went higher than v11.

Once your system regained full network connectivity, something a little strange occurred which we will investigate further, specifically, you re-opened the file but v10 was opened rather than v11, and I don't see evidence of the updated v11 content being uploaded. In terms of finding the best possible version of this file, you could look at the file %LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\<User ID>\W.login\F\Untitled.36acbb5a-d205-4086-bdaa-75bcac5858ce.f3d. This is the local copy of the design which was being written to while you were offline.

Regards,
