Logitech compatibility with Fusion

I'm having issues with logitech gaming software wiping the profile for fusion every time a new fusion release happens.

Not a deal breaker for continuing to use both software's just curious to see if anyone happens to have any solutions here.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting - it is unfortunate that you are experiencing this issue with your Fusion profile being wiped with each update due to the logitech gaming software.

Can you clarify what you mean when you say the Fusion profile is "wiped?" Are you losing data, or just having to sign back into Fusion after the update? Also, could you provide the specific Logitech product you are using?

The issues we see with peripheral softwares are often resolved by ensuring the the peripheral drivers are up-to-date? If you have not updated your Logitech drivers to the most recent version, please try doing so and let me know if this resolves the problem.

Please let me know if you have any questions - I'm happy to help!

It's a logitech g700s which changes profiles based on the open app.  For every Fusion update the autodeskfusion360.app get's delete and must re add the .app to the profile.

I'll see about getting the drivers updated to see if that addresses things.  Though working at a company that requires IT approval for every install. Another reason I appreciate fusion so much 🙂

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for the response! I spoke with some other resources about this issue and found out that the version of Autodesk downloaded from the Autodesk website creates a new .app file each time there is an update, so unfortunately this behavior will continue.

You may be able to work around this limitation by uninstalling your version of Fusion 360 and reinstalling the version from the Mac Apple Store. The Mac Apple Store version is always in the Applications folder, so this may keep the file in the same place so it can update your settings automatically.

Hopefully this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Alright thanks for the tip - it's worth a try.  What about for windows 10? The same issue applies.

Would you recommend I download from the windows store on that platform as well?

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately, only the Mac Apple Store version will maintain the filepath in order to potentially resolve this issue.

You could try to have a look through this forum thread, in which similar issues were resolved by changing the Fusion .exe file linked to the Logitech mouse.

Hopefully this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.
