Loft Doodle Question

In my effort to fully understand lofting  tried to make a doodle. It was made with intersect projection (a feature  just discovered 😞 ). I would like to make four lobes lofing. I can't seem to make the two drawings intersect each other into 4 planes. @jeff_strater

I don't quite get what your trying to do.  maybe an illustration?  or more explanation of what the various sketches an planes are for?

couple of thoughts and musings-

-the "plane at an angle" is co-planer with YX plane.   Did you mean it to be other wise?

-you can use the coincident constraint  on a spline anywhere along it's length and a point (such as a projected point), but your spline becomes unusable if you do.  this constraint, in theory, would I think achieve what you want (if it actually functioned properly).   Seems to behave better if you constrain the spline control points  to a point. (though that seems to blow up on occasion also)

-when laying out your loft lines, keep in mind that the path profiles (when using curves in patch space) have to be from end to end.  the path can't be just part of a longer curve (a MAJOR limitation in fusion loft).  Rails, on the other hand can be longer than the intended loft.  If your going to try an loft around the outside of your doodle lines, you would have to break them at the axis. (no idea where your going to try and loft, that's just an example.)

Yep, that can actually not be overstated!

This requires you to split splines, or even worse split your geometry and then build off of trimmed geometry, which in Fusion 360 leads do really dirty geometry with the effect that you can often not even fillet an edge.

I guess the goal is something like this:
