Linear vs Non Linear Simulations (also...F360 is impressive)

One of the most common issues I see with simulations is when a linear simulation is used when a non-linear simulation should have been chosen. This is especially critical in 2 cases:
1 - Large Displacements
2 - Stress beyond yield strength
So to help demonstrate this, I put together the video below. In the process of putting together this video I saw just how impressive Fusion 360's non-linear solver can be. I was extremely surprised that I was able to get this close on a simulation to catastrophic failure. Predicting complete failure is especially difficult with stress concentrations.
If you're not sure which simulation to run...it will not hurt to start with a non-linear simulation.
