Hey, Are you a designer without a CNC machine but want to get your designs manufactured?
I made a comprehensive description for nesting (aka arrange) and the current state of dxf exporting in Fusion 360 over the manufacturer forum: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-manufacture/designers-without-cnc-machines-would-a-native-...
The post is focused on users who...
- Need a dxf export option which can translate 3d part perimeter, inset perimeter or diameter with depths, v-cutting and engraving into dxf layers.
- Are working with designs that can be manufactured with 2.5 axis milling
- Are working with large designs +100 parts
- Are working with sheet materials such as plywood, MDF, laminates etc.
- Need nesting to control material usage
- Are working in woodworking, furniture or cabinets for example
I would love to hear your comments and other workflow ideas.
