Length Inspection tool reports incorrect values.

I was using the inspection tool to measure an offset so I could place some curves inside a rectangle. I think the screencast says it all. I measured the distance between the reference line and 2 other lines. The distance that is visually shorter on the canvas measures more than twice the distance to the line that is visually further from the reference line. In the screencast, the reference is the horizontal bottom line.

Am I missing something or may this just be a bug?

Not for me.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Your Screencast only shows 2D view, must diagnose from 3D perspective.

It appears that there is an unresolved issue highlighted in yellow in your Timeline - I would resolve any issues before conducting any further diagnosis.

Had a similar problem with bodies moved from a component to another, copied/pasted sketches from another component too, and lines built from an existing body while in a sketch.

Maybe check that you're not in such a case? If so, I didn't found how to correct it, I had to redo the body/sketch... No way to capture the new position, it acted as if it was a symbolic link and not a real copy.

Based on the significant difference between the two measurements, it looks like you somehow got the objects on different sketch planes in space and it is measuring the "straight line" distance between the objects across the YZ plane.

Exporting and posting the file would make it easier to verify what is going on here.

Ah, yes.... The only bug here was my inability to verify the canvas setup.... The lines where in fact on a sketch that was on an offset Z plane and thus the measurement was not for a projected distance but for the straight line distance instead. I got the line projected to the correct plane and all is good now.
