Second day working with Fusion 360. Day 1 for most of the time Grids were visible and usable. Then something happened. Under Grid & Snaps, Layout Grid, and Layout Grid Lock check boxes are grayed out. Yes, the Sketch Grid is checked and usable. Frustrated (not the wording my wife would use), I concluded the day defeated with no solution to be found even online.
Day 2 began with more of the same. I decided to uninstall Fusion 360 with the hope that reinstalling would reset things to default thinking of the possibility that I had inadvertently checked or unchecked some obscure setting. No such luck.
At first, although grayed out, Layout Grid Lock was checked, however, Layout Grid was unchecked. After looking at Grid & Snaps under other than Design workspace, I found Lock active & not grayed, I believe under Manufacture. I unchecked it. Returning to Design, Lock is now unchecked on all planes, but still grayed out. No difference with Layout Grid.
I have read many articles which at first seem to reflect this same issue but then fade into something different.
To compound the situation, the Z plane has also disappeared. Expanding the view multiple times, only the X and Y planes exist. Clicking on each on the Cube will bring the view to each of those 2, but Z does nothing.
Its seems that as I progress more things are happening. Could be my paranoia. Is there a proper solution? Did I do something stupid?
