Large Assemblies: How to Quickly exclude components in Edit Derive?

I am preparing a design for milling and need to remove the hardware.
In the Edit Derive, expanding and selecting and excluding for 100+ hardware components is really not an option. Unfortunately, making a "container component" for the hardware to make the selection easier is not either.
I see real performance improvements when using derived models in the manufacturing space. Will be using the arrange and nest features. See demo video.
Is there a quicky way?
Or another workflow all together?
Thank You 🙌
Additional Info:
My old workflow was to use Select by Name and hide my hardware. The speed in which I can exclude using Select by Name is awesome so it is a step backwards to make those same exclusions so tedious in the Edit Derive.
I know that during Nest Preparation, Fusion can automatically find parts to be nested resulting in excluding hardware components. But sometimes those hardware components slip by and produce nests and packaging for the hardware.
I'd really prefer to do this hardware purge one time. It seems like the derive is the place to do it.
