Keyway Dimensions on Drawings (Tangent Dimensions on Drawings)

Hello All,

I'm trying to create a drawing for a gear which happens to have a keyway slot (Check the image). How can I dimension this keyway similar to attached photo which is pretty much standard practice?

Hi,

I assume you are trying "Dimension (D)" command to a dimension the key-way slot.

Please try "Linear Dimension" from the Dimensions Panel drop-down.

Thank you for your answer. This works for technical drawings.

Unfortunately for sketches it doesn't work since there is only 1 dimension command.
