Does Fusion actually have a command or good workflow to generate the male female key like surface differences along a parting line for two shells? Currently I rail a step sketch along a profile I projected and with that new surface split the body into two.

How would one do that in Inventor ProE or SolidWorks?

In Inventor, there is a Lip command tool, specific for this task.

I hope that answers your question.

Would be nice to have such a lip college in fusion as well. Specifically for small scale designates it would be valuable.

Hi Claas, there is a "Silhouette Split" command in the Modify group. It's not a Lip command. But it can help you to split a shell using a parting line.

I think it's called "Parting Line Split."
