Just constraints to be able to rotate a rectangle araound a point

Hi,
I want to have constraints to rotate a rectangle around a point (needed for try and error design).
I tried it with a "Center Rectangle" where the center is coincident with a circle.
I can now move the rectangle along the circle but (off course) the rectangle does not rotate and it lines stay vertical/horizontal  (see image). Any attempt to achieve this ends up either with "over constrained sketch" or an immutable restangle position.

Is there any chance to achieve a real rotatability just with constraints?

PS: I know that I can do this with joined compontents, but I want to do tis in the sketch.

Hi,

Constraints are specifications for geometries
If horizontal and vertical lines are defined for the rectangle, this does not change when moving along the circle.

Hi Günther,
sorry, that was just a mistake when I made a simplified example for the screenshot. The rectangle lines are not specified as horizontal/vertical. They are just parallel/perpendicular. I fixed the screenshot in the original message.

If I, for example, add the constraint "distance between a rectangle corner and circle center" I can rotate the rectangle but it may flip. If i add another constraiunt for another rectangle corner I and up with "over constrained".

Any suggestion?

you will have to constrain one point of the rectangle to get rotation.  See the video - the center is coincident with the sketch origin, which is fixed.  Remove the horizontal constraint, make sure size is dimensioned, it will rotate.  If you have too many degrees of freedom, it will not rotate.

Thanks for your solution!
It was not exactly what I tried to achieve (none of my rectangle sides is parallel to the diameter) but it pointed me in the right direction:

I define now the angle between a diameter line and one of the rectangle sides (see image).

Hi Jeff,
thanks for your reply. I've searched for a solution to rotate a rectangle around an arbitrary point.
Günther's answer was quite close to what I needed (see my reply)
