Joints in subassemblies do not work in next level assembly

I have an assembly of subassemblies.  The joints and limits/contact sets work in the sub but don't seem to carry over to the next level.  Subassem are hyd cyls.  Next level is an excavator arm assembly.  I tried attaching the arm assem but it was not accepted.

Should not be any reason to use Contact Sets, other than setting up Joint limits.

No file pic or screencast, your problems on the face of it, don't happen here.

Package the file in a Zip file.

Will try to attach the two parts which are currently giving me problems.   The rev joints in the hinge work but do not work when inserted into the fold frame.

You have inserted a file into this model, has 3 bodies and no sketches, no Joints.

You convert the bodies to Components and then Joint them.

I would expect all this to be as inserted into this File, and when inserted this work is done and should be working.

My view is that the original file should be updated and the joints included in it.

In the attached video, I saved your provided assembly out to my database.  I then added it to a new model and all the Joints are available, even after I break the link.  I see not issue of lost Joints when used in a new model file.

I assume there is more to the story.  I put the hinge in an assembly and it seemed to work fine.

Based on the rest of the Timeline, removing the anchor points would be a place to start.
