Join multiple bodies spread over multiple components

Hello,

Maybe someone can help me here, there are multiple bodies spread between 7 component that i would like to join to one.

After a STP import, there are 7 assemblies which house a total of individual 58 bodies spread among these assemblies.

I would like to merge/combine/join all of these 7 assemblies with all their 58 bodies to one body (or component).

Is there a way to do this without individually selecting each body?

You did not supply your STEP file so I used one of mine.  I will assume all imported bodies are touching each other so they can be combined.  The Screencast will show you the process.

Edit: The process will work if they are touching or not.

You can use any of the "mass selection" modes (window select, paint select, lasso select) to select the tool bodies.

However, for Combine to work, all 58 bodies need to physically overlap.  In your case, is that true?  Otherwise, you will get one body for each physically separate group of bodies.

regarding the component model, all combined bodies will move to the component that owns the Target Body

Thanks all for your support, your pointers helped me solve the issue. I used a combination of the methods you mentioned.
