Issue with Get Latest command

I've been experiencing an odd bug recently. When in direct edit mode, if I move a linked component from the root of the assembly into a holding component, Fusion reports that the linked component is now out of date. Any attempt to update the part will fail.

To fix this I have to delete the component, activate the component I want to move it to, then reinsert.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi @Anonymous,

Could you provide a screencast of what you are seeing?  It certainly sounds like a bug, but I'm not exactly sure what steps to follow to reproduce it.

thanks,

Jeff

Here is what I tried.  I have a direct modeling design which has two inserted DM components.  Then, I created a new local (not inserted) component.  I save the design in this state.  Everything is up to date.  Then, I move one of the DM components into my local component.  The interesting thing, which you can see at about 0:12 in the video, that may be related to what you are seeing is:  for a brief second you can see the "out of date" yellow triangle flash, but then, in this simple example, it clears itself.

I will try to keep looking at this, to see if I can create a scenario that reproduces your problem.  If you can provide any more details to help me, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi @jeff_strater ,
Unfortunately I can't share the design due to it being a deliverable for a client. I got as far as you in trying to replicate the bug with a new part. If I can find the case it appears I will get a screen cast. Sorry I couldn't be of more help

Thanks,
Matt
