Issue moving model to CNC program (Vcarve Pro)

Hi! Im a newer user to fusion 360. I have designed a sink mold master. What we are trying to do is cut it on a CNC Mill out of mdf for the master and then I'll be making a mold for concrete. We work with another company that has the CNC mill. They typically build in Sketch Up then transfer that file in to Vcarve for the mapping for the CNC. When I export this model into sketch up I get alot of segments and lose the smoothness of the curves. I have also sent them a DFX file but that is not transferring either.

1) Should I be increasing the segments in the model?

2) What format should I be exporting in?

I have just downloaded Vcarve pro trial to see if I can get the model to show up in a stl.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have 3 more sink designs concepts that I would like the model as well!

Hi,

1. you can create the toolpaths in Fusion. To do this, you must know which machine is used to select the postprocessor.
2. the model created in Fusion can be exported as STL to try it out in V-Carve.
But for this you need a V-Carve full version.

Thank you
Were you able to open up the file and see if its something that can be
milled?

These can easily be machined.  You'll need a long reach endmill <.5" in diameter and at least a 2.7" DOC.  I did need to project the perimeter to a sketch in order to create a single toolpath.  See attached file.
