I am designing a floor lamp and industry-standard requires that it must not fall over when put on an 8-degree incline. Is there a way to put my lamp on an 8-degree ramp and see if it falls over in Fusion Simulation? This will help me determine how wide and heavy to make the base so that it doesn't fall over.

I am not sure if you can do that in simulation but it is easy to check with the center of mass under the inspect tool. Once you have the center of mass you can measure its location, then create a sketch from the mass center to the edge of the lamp base then measure the angle to the vertical to see if it is greater than your 8 degrees.

In this image, you can see that I only have 5.7 degrees so it would fail.

Thank you, this was helpful! I've found it's easiest to screenshot the model with the center of mass visible, paste it in photoshop, and turn the model 8-degrees. Drawing a straight line down from the center of mass, if it reaches past the base, it will tip over.
