Is it possible to create line shading somehow? Its for patent applications. So I almost feel that, given the context of Fusion 360, it should be a thing 🙂

I've exhausted my knowledge of Fusion, Gimp, and Inkscape on how to create line drawings as shading. Been trying all kinds of fun with posterizing and cloning based on alpha. But I just can't figure it out.

Any thoughts?

A similar effect is possible with a suitable decal. It'll look a bit like this. Worth a try.

You could also do a line shading on a piece of paper and take a picture of it to use it as a decal.

Great thought. I'm working with a sphere - I was hoping masking or a tiled clone tool would work. But it may come down to exporting sections and doing some drawings over them 🙂

I appreciate you taking the time to put this forward.

So I had this idea of adjusting 3D wood texture and manipulating Texture Map Controls, but I failed 😓
