is it possible to edit points in an imported svg element?

Hello, I've imported an svg file onto a box in Fusion 360

spiral capture.JPGcapture1.JPGthis point.JPG

I've push/pulled it (the svg element) and beveled the edges of the sides..

I'd like to edit the one point at the tip of the spiral.. to move it or delete it.

Are the points of the svg grouped or un-editable?

I've tried everything I can think of -- short of going back into illustrator then editing the image and re-importing.

I'd prefer to modify the points in Fusion 360.

thanks for any advice

Hi @verakark, welcome to Fusion 360!  Nice work for not having used the product very long!

Yes, you can edit an imported SVG.  By default, when Fusion imports SVG geometry, it keeps it "fixed", mostly so you don't inadvertently edit it (under the assumption that you imported it, so you want to keep it consistent with the source).  We also do it for performance reasons (some SVGs can be very large).  But, you can "unfix" some or all of the imported sketch geometry.

Here is a video of how to do this:

Hope this gets you past this and on to greater things,

Thanks for the info. After some fiddling, it did work.

I can move the points, which affect adjacent selected point/lines..

but as far as I can tell,

I cannot modify the "type" of point (curve/corner/straight) or modify the characteristics of the point (as is done in Adobe Illustrator).?
