Inter-sketch object snap behavior dependency on selected sketch plane.

Hi. I'm quite new to Fusion. In short, my question is why I can't snap to previous sketch object's center point, when I create new sketch over the same surface? To make it more clear, I've recorded screencasts with all the scenarios, I am having trouble of getting clear understanding of:

1. In the first cast when I switch Sketch2 visibility (just to prioritize the 'Sketch Profiles' for selection) and select sketch profile as a plane for the new Sketch3, I can't snap to the midpoint of small circle, which belongs to the Sketch2. But, when instead I select the body face, I am able to snap to the midpoint of the small circle. So, why does it behave differently? What is the essential difference between sketch profile and body surface in this context?

2. In the second cast, I perform the same operations, as in scenario 1, but in this case the small circle is not extruded. Here, I am not able to snap to its midpoint, no matter which surface I choose as a sketch plane. What is happening here? Why I can't snap to a midpoint of an object, which belongs to the previous sketch and is not extruded? Is this an expected behavior?

Your screencast did not successfully post.  Can you try again.  It's a bit hard to figure out what you are describing, but I did pick up on one thing.  You say "select sketch profile as a plane for the new Sketch3", and "I can't snap to the midpoint of small circle, which belongs to the Sketch2".  It is important to understand that the "Auto project geometry on active sketch plane" only applies to sketches on body faces, not on profiles from other sketches.  Selecting a profile as the plane for a new sketch never projects any geometry into the new sketch.  I suspect this is at the root of your question.

Dear Jeff.

I appreciate your valuable reply. This post was initially marked as spam, so I made new post with new cast. Could you please check it, and repost your excellent reply there, as this one is now reported by me to moderators to be removed. Here is the new link:

Thank you very much for clear explanation!

OK, I added a note to the correct post.  Thanks for posting, and for your patience with the spam filters.  They sometimes catch perfectly valid posts as spam.
