Installing Fusion as Admin...

When installing fusion as admin it does not install on the current account (unless they admin and current user account are the same). Also when installing as admin, fusion does not install for users. In order to run as the non-admin user you have to pin the fusion app to the task bar. I would like to install fusion on some of the laptops and server computers in the office but this issue is preventing this from happening.

Hi,

Sorry to hear of your trouble.

From what I can tell you are wanting to install Fusion 360 "globally" so that other user accounts on the computer can run the program?

If so, one option is use the Fusion 360 Admin Install program. This can be found HERE when run under an admin account, will install Fusion 360 globally. Then when other users login to that computer, they will see the Fusion desktop icon and be able to run.

However when installing logged in as the Admin do NOT run Fusion under that account. Only run under the Standard User, etc. accounts.

Additionally, don't run the Admin installer until after you've uninstalled the local version(s).

Hope this helps.

Regards,
