Inserted drawing is locked and grayed out

Hello there

I inserted a previous design done in fusion 360 into a new one to solve a problem of history not showing. However the elements of this newly inserted drawing are locked and grayed out. How do I unlock so I can turn off and on some canvases, bodies, sketches, construction as desired etc... I am inserting an image here to show the locked sign appearing on the inserted file. Anyone?

Never mind people! I figured it out. You have to right click and select break link on the menu that pops out. That icon signifies linked file.

This is correct, @amolese.  When you have a linked design, you are limited in what you can do to objects inside that linked design, from the context of the top-level design.  You can also right-click on the linked design and choose "open", which will open that design in another tab, where you can make edits to it.  Then, save that design, and go back to the top-level design, and you can update to see those changes.

Break Link is a good choice if you don't need the associativity to the original design.
