Insert into current design, loses joint functionality

So I'm pretty sure this was always working for me before I make many component asemblies that I reuse in other designs. So This time I have a simple test fixture I threw together I wanted to use on a different machine and it seems to be frozen. I have no idea where to look or maybe I've just been at it too long tonight. attached is the assembly I'm importing

Ground does not come across Insert.  You will need to re-ground "Short gear kicker_Base" after you insert it.
