I've yet to find a way to bring in an external component and position it where I need it without spending loads of time doing math and creating joints, etc. I am going to have to bring in multiple external components and place them where I need them. In this project I need to put the imported mount 15' from the bottom of the post and centered on the face of the post. I have it somewhat close to where it needs to go from moving it when I brought it in. There has to be an easier way to insert external components and place them exactly where you need them without using the "move" command and using inspect to get your part close, a million times over until its perfect. I tried to attach my .f3z file, it wouldnt accept. I tried to attach a .3mf file and it wouldnt accept. Can someone tell me what type of file I need to attach so you can see my workflow and project?
