Insert designs > Can not do first move
Can you share the model you are "trying to insert" into the assembly. Also, open the file you are trying to insert, Copy it, and in the new assembly try Paste New. What do you see then.

The file you sent has not been saved correctly. When I try and open it, I get the message shown below. You try and open this assembly, and save it correctly, then I believe you will not have any issues inserting it into another assembly.
