Insert a plane under a sketch and constrain the sketch to the plane

This model is based on Sketch 1 but I need to add some design elements below this sketch. Can I make an offset plane the base and constrain sketch 1 to this so that I can raise the entire model by adjusting the offset as needed without affecting the other relationships?

Thanks!

I don't know if I understand you correctly.

You can create an offset plane below and project lines from sketch 1 onto it.

I create an offset plane and edit sketch 1 and select project but I can't select the sketch or the plane to project it onto. The plane disappears.

Hi,

If you want to move elements from sketch 1, first create an offset plane and start a sketch on it.
Then project the elements from sketch 1 into this new sketch.

Simply draw in Sketch1 (or add another sketch on the same plane) and use the From Object, To Object, or a two direction extrude.

Well, I feel kinda dumb but apparently I can achieve what I want by extruding a negative value below the origin. No idea why that didn't occur to me.

Thank you all for your responses.
