Impossible to add chamfer to geometry

Hi !

I am planning something relatively simple. I need to 3D print multiple objects, among which is this file.
I have generated an svg from a picture, made an extrusion, and I am not trying to add a chamfer to smooth out the edges. However, I can't, and I don't know why. There were some issues with the sketch which I have fixed, but the issue is still there, and I don't know where else to look into.

If you find out why I cannot perform a chamfer on this extrusion, I would love to know !

Thanks a lot

Your inside corners are too sharp to support a very large chamfer.  The maximum size is approximately 0.3mm.  I did clean up all the segmented edges for you.  Model is attached.

@jhackney1972 Hi,
thanks for the replay. I was looking for a bigger chamfer unfortunately.
I have tried adding some curve to those corner, but that doesn't help sadly
I guess I'll have to give up on that idea for now

Thanks for the help !

@neizolol

Try connecting the rest of these edges as demonstrated and then Surface Stitch.

It will be tedious but might work.

You must be on the Surfaces tab.

@TheCADWhisperer I will try this, thanks a lot!

@jhackney1972 Sorry to send you another message, but I'm confused.
I was trying to reproduce your steps, however, once I do a "Mesh Section Sketch", I don't get a surface I can extrude. In fact, it is like an invisible contour, I cannot interact with it.

This first picture is my attempt at reproducing your steps,

This second picture is yours. Am I missing something ?

@neizolol - I think what @jhackney1972 did in this sketch was to use the "fit curves to mesh section" command:

This command pretty much does what its name implies.  The mesh section geometry is not "real" sketch geometry, so you need to use this command to try to fit curves to that section geometry.  In your case, it looks like there is a single CV spline used for the whole profile.  The documentation on this command is spotty, but here are a couple references:

This YouTube video illustrates the process pretty well: mesh section/fit curves to mesh section
