Import STL due to size/ Mesh to BREP to make Editable

I have to import an STL file to allow me to import the correct size into Fusion 360.  Trouble is, that if I import, I am no longer able to use Mesh to BRep which makes the STL editable.  If I open the stl, then I can use Mesh to BRep to make it editable, but the size will be 10X bigger.  Is there a way to do both, import the stl so I get the correct size AND THEN use Mesh to BRep to allow for editing afterwards?

Use the insert - insert mesh from the insert menu and make sure you bring it in as units to units import bring a model in cm only.

The design history does not have to be turned off to convert a mesh into a BRep.

After importing the mesh with “Insert->Mesh” “Create->Base feature”.

‘When in the base feature, select the mesh, right-click and select “Convert  BRep”.

Then finish the base feature.

Now you can try to work on the object with the normal tools in Fusion 360. Mostly that isn’t a good idea!
