import from inkscape black plane with curves error

So I was playing with Inkscape to simplify a dxf and ran into getting a black plane that is not selectable.   Any Ideas as to why? I imported an svg format of what I was working on and that worked.

Thx for sharing the project, but unfortunately it doesn't help a lot. Can you please share the Inkscape / svg file, too?
