Hi,

Can anyone tell me if I can import dimensions and text from a DXF file into Fusion?

Hi! I could be wrong but I don't think you could import the dimensions, annotations, and text in DXF to Fusion. You may need to open the DXF file in AutoCAD and use EXPLODE command to turn them into geometry first. Then import the DXF file to Fusion.

Many thanks!

Thanks for the explanation, but I could do that if I had AutoCAD. Since these are client files, I intend to import them into Fusion with all the specifications.

I certainly did that, which is why I'm raising the issue.

I don't believe you can...There used to be a free add-in that I recall worked for small amounts of text and although I still have that add-in installed it now chucks a Python error. A free option is to use Inkscape and explode the text there.
