Just a quick question....I uploaded an IGES file into a project...but I don't see how to bring that into a Fusoiun workspace.....it is just sitting there onyl allowing me to download it again....I would love to convert it, but I don't see any options to use it in any way besides viewing it online/inthe dashboard?  thanks!

Here's a quick video on how to go from no IGES file to imported through the data panel and then loaded into the workspace to be used.  Let me know if you have more questions or if you don't see this behavior.

Sadly, that does not work for me.  In your video, you have a small little box-shape underneath your IGES file in your data panel, and I do not, I see that as a difference, if it helps.

If I double click on the file inside of Fusion's data panel, the browser comes up and takes me to the Dashboard.  If I click and drag it into the workspace form the data panel nothing happens.  This is a very large file (165MB) so maybe that has something to do with it?  Also, I see that maybe you modeled your box in Fusion, an dthen exported it as an IGES file....maybe somehow that workflow has Fusion 360 know more about the model than if the model were created completely outside of Fusion and then imported in?

Could you upload an image of what you see?  It's very strange to not be able to load the Iges, I assume you can load other files?  The little box should represent it as a part.  Is there a chance that the iges you uploaded is a wireframe, not a 3D CAD model?  Perhaps that would cause the problem.

If you would like to upload the original file here, I can try to import it as well. It might help trouble shoot, or at least get you a .f3d file to use.

So what you are saying is we cannot directly import 2d IGES drawing files ?

Thanks for any input.

The solution is to be in a 'Project Folder' in the left, pane. Once you are, you then have the cloud upload icon... You can also simply 'create' a new project to make accessing it simpler.
