I Need Help Fillet this edges to a quarter inch

I am trying to fillet the edges to a .25 in round (That I have circled in blue), and when I use the fillet tool it works but it does not put it at .25 fillet at the top it fillet it larger and a the bottom it smaller, can you help?

the radius is still .25, it just looks like the size varies because the angle of the 2 faces vary as you go around the part.  change radius type to chord length and it might look a little better to you , but the radius will vary of course.

Even though they are the same radius it messes up the appearance and that is what I am trying to preserve 1234.JPG       Also If you you look closely at the picture there are the yellow layers that mark where the fillet should be

the yellow is just a construction plane.  not related to the fillet.  the edges of the fillet aren't going to be even all the we around unless the faces come together at the same angle all the way around.  how could they?

are you considering the edge lines to be what is "messed up".   have you try hidding the edge lines to see what it looks like?  here is a pic of the object rendered-

but if your looking for "messed up, you might look at the over all surface quality.  here is a pic with curvature map turned on.  it's quite lumpy.  i would think this would be of more concern-

You are right, I understand what you are saying with the fillet. I not sure why I am having trouble with keeping a more smooth surface, would happen to know what causing it?

using just one profile and a sweep might be better.  see attached
