I have had some issues understanding how to locate this part for second and third ops, so decided to mill out a shape on an expansion clamp and one inside this part.
The size and shape does not matter at all, as long as it does its job as a locator and is in the right spot.
So the clamp is fine, but when I add this tab inside the part, I cant seem to get a toolpath to see it its there and it wants to machine straight through it or the part.
I tried it as a new component also on one drawing, but no good.
I am missing something obvious here, so some help would be appreciated.
I dont care that I cant machine everything inside because of this added feature, because the plan is to machine most things up to that feature, use it to flip the part over and locate it, then the same to the 4th axis to mill things there and then back to the first op to mill out that locating feature and finish the internal steps.
Please help!
