I cannot get my filet to work between two surfaces

This post is pretty simple.  I am trying to filet an edge of one object against the edge of another object, but I am only getting the inward filet to show up, and not the outward filet (kind of like you're caulking an edge).

Fillet only works on a single body.  Join the bodies and you will be able to fillet them.

Accepted solution

To create an outward fillet between the edge of the block and the surface of the plate, it is sitting on, the block and the plate must be the same body.  Use the Combine command to join them together into one body.  See Screencast.

Thank you very very much!  I'm kind of just hacking my way through this right now (I think I learned CAD on something like AutoCAD 2008 or something), so I'm forgetting a lot of these simpler commands.

 

This is exactly what I was looking for.
