How to use different appearances for design and render without changing manually every time needed ?

Hello,

When we use transparency for some materials and appearances, it could be painful to work on design since the "clear" look does not help to manipulate, design, and so on...

So I usually design with a "plastic" or "metal" generic material, then when I want render, I change the materials and appearances.
But you can understand with iterative design needs, it can become a pain to work like this...

So I wonder how to use different appearances for design and render without changing manually every time needed ?

Thank you for your time trying to help me,
Guy

Hi,

Simply activate the Component Color Cycling in design mode.

BTW do you know how to choose and set the colors ?

Best,
Guy

Hi,

It is not possible to select a color directly, you can only switch in the palette.
