i hope i said that right.  i have a line within a circle that i'd like to connect it to the curvature of the inside of this circular object.  how do i do that?  i tried finding a way to turn the line in to a curve, but can't find it.  its for a peller blade that the line didn't connect to the surface entirely, so the straight line left a gap in between it and the curved object.

After making the straight line.

New Sketch, any plane, then Sketch > Project > Project to Surface.

Your new 3d sketch will have a purple curved line on the hub.

(Requires 3d sketching activated in Preferences, 3d sketches have limits)

But you can also make the blade and join it to the hub, without all that sketching, by drawing the straight line inside the hub.

got the sketch to project, how do i cut out that sketch from the object?  it won't let me extrude it, and ideally i need an angle at which i can cut this sketch from a curved surface.

so that i could project it from the original sketch and cut through to the new chosen vector so it maintains thickness. like modifying the plane.  i though i could create this curved surface as it's own plane to draw on an extrude from there, but it appears thats you can't create your own curved plane.

what is the projection actually used for because it doesn't seem to do anything.  you can't extrude from it or cut n stuff

I did say 3d Sketches have limits.

You can't extrude any profile that is not flat.

Does this help?
