How to select a patterns central point?

Hi,

I saw this video:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/abdde246-cf2c-42d3-b086-7b4e411774d3

There you can see how to modify the number of pattern objects by double clicking on it's central poinz. But I have a problem with this.
I also have a circular pattern. At the same position of the patterns central point I have other points like starting points of lines, starting points of construction lines etc..

Now I want to double click the patterns central point to change the number of patterned objects from 3 lets say to 5.

But If I double click on the central point the small popup menu of the pattern (as shown in the above video) does not open.

This is becuase other points on the same position lay on top of the patterns central point and get selected.

OK now I thought I could press left mouse button for around 2 seconds and then I get a list of all objects at the same point.

The list appears and I can see 'Profile' and I can choose this - but this causes only a single click not a double click which I need.

Then I tried to change the selection filter but unfortunately for pattern central points there is no selection filter availabe :-(.

So how can I double click a patterns central point if other points are placed at same location as the patterns central point?

Thanks!

You can select the feature from the timeline if you are in that mode, "Edit Feature" will be in the menu.

i replied to your other inquiry before seeing this one.

again without seeing what you have done, I figure that centre point is very busy, I would make a separate sketch for the pattern, project the centre point only into this sketch and selection will become clean if you can turn off the "other" sketches.

Hi davebYYPCU,

thanks. I am in a sketch in the timeline I only have ONE feature for the whole sketch. So there is no single feature for the pattern inside the sketch just like if I use a pattern for a body.
I think I can live with an additional sketch and project it's central point.

@thburn, you can use Select Other to achieve this.  If you press an hold the left mouse button, you will see a menu like this one:

select other sketch pattern.png

as you move the mouse over this menu, it will highlight which pattern it is for:

select other sketch pattern 2.png

Clicking on this menu will select that pattern icon.  Then, you can right click and edit it:

select other sketch pattern 3.png
