How to save hundreds of individual parts/bodies from an assembly in STEP?

As the title said, it's possible to save as a new part, hundred of individial parts/bodies from an assembly in STEP? I got in my hand a LEGO model that contains around 600+ and I would like to extract each piece it has just to have my own library of LEGO parts. Is this function possible? If not, is there any workaround instead of saving as a new part one by one?

Thank you.

Hi @ekinsb or anyone that can assist... I am super green in this space but found this thread to be most useful (and very close to what I am trying to accomplish). Is there a way to EXPORT all individual components as its separate .STEP file instead of Exporting one by one? Example picture below. Thank you!!

This is amazing!  Quick question for you @ekinsb.  Is there a way to tweak the code so instead of saving to the Fusion 360 cloud, it can export STEP files to a folder on your desktop?

You have to save first the File from your system before running the script.

Over 4 years later and there's still no built in utility for this? I don't want to save in the cloud, I only want to save each component, I want to skip duplicates, and I want to save as part number. A common need to send parts to manufacturer. Is this on the roadmap at all?

@ekinsb

You normally would create a sketch and then use the Flange tool from the Sheet Metal toolbar.

You need to create a new Forum post and not piggy back on another one.

Hi,
Now that we have configuration in Fusion360, there is a way to export each configuration as STL, 3MF etc?
I wish there will be an options in the "Save as mesh" or in "Export":
1. Per body.

2. Per Component.

3. Per Configuration.

4. All
